For whom?
Are you a student and do you want to (learn how to) play football? Then you are in the right place here. After all, there is a footballer hiding in every student! Moreover, v.v. Ariston ’80 is the only open student football club in Delft. This means that any student can become a member.
Have you been playing football for years and do you want to continue in Delft? Or are you ready for a new sport and does football sound like something for you? Ariston ’80 offers many possibilities with 15 men's teams and 4 women's teams.
Our activities
With over 500 members, v.v. Ariston ’80 is one of the larger sports clubs in Delft and, thanks to its many activities, also one of the most sociable! For instance, tournaments and many other activities are organized annually. Additionally, you can get a drink with other members every Wednesday and Saturday in our own building: the TAP.
Time spent
v.v. Ariston ’80 takes as much time as you are willing to put in. There are countless members who come to train occasionally, but mainly play their matches on Saturdays. There are also members who don't miss a single training session. Furthermore, almost all teams regularly go for a beer together or organise other activities together.
The association is run by students themselves, so there is an opportunity to develop yourself in one of the many committees the club has to offer. This way, you get to know more people within the association and also outside of your team. Many Aristoni make friends within the club with whom they still hang out a lot of years later. At v.v. Ariston ’80, you can find your place in Delft and enjoy playing football at your own level together with your friends.
Matches and practices
The women's and men's selection teams practice twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday), under the guidance of a qualified coach. The non-selection teams also train on those days, but usually only once a week. All matches are played on Saturdays.
General questions
The season starts at the end of September and lasts until the end of May. If your team also participates in the cup or is part of the selection, the season starts around the beginning of September.
All Ariston’80 matches will be played on Saturdays. The times at which the matches are played depend on your team, and may change per week. The training sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday if you are part of the selection, otherwise just one of the days.
Most home games are played at X, TU Delft. Some of the games are played externally, due to a large growth in membership in the last few years. These external matches are played at DHC Delft, Brasserskade, Sportring 2, about 10 minutes by bike from the center.
It depends on the team you are on. The rule with the selection teams is that you should basically always be there. For the non-selection teams, this is a bit less strict, especially in terms of training. How often you attend training depends on your enthusiasm! For competitions, however, it applies to the whole association that you are there as often as possible.
In addition to the wonderful sport that connects us, we organize a lot of activities that ensure that you can do all kinds of fun things with your team and club mates. Every Wednesday and Saturday we have drinks in the TAP, we organize several tournaments, we have a beautiful club magazine and much more, such as a club weekend, King's day activity and a Christmas dinner. Most of the activities are held in our own building, the TAP, located in the center of Delft, which is open every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays for members to get together and have the necessary drinks. Everything is organised by our own members and committees. More information about committees can be found on the committee page.
